Is Chronic Kidney Failure Reversible

2013-05-03 15:32

Is Chronic Kidney Failure reversible? Effective reverse of kidney failure will allow patients to live a normal life again and they can live as freely as they can without dialysis and kidney transplant. Therefore, knowing whether Chronic Kidney Failure can be reversed or not means a lot for patients to make preparation for their future life.

Chronic Kidney Failure is a progressive loss of kidney function. In the very early stage, only a small group of kidney tissues are affected and under such a condition, residual kidney function is powerful enough to maintain a normal life. Therefore, in the very beginning of Chronic Kidney Failure, no obvious symptoms occur and kidney problem is hard to be found. Actually, in such a case, if an effective treatment is given timely, these injured kidney tissues can be saved and kidney function is reversible.

However, as no obvious discomforts are caused, Chronic Kidney Failure is usually not noticed until the illness progresses to a certain stage. With the progression of illness condition, more and more kidney tissues are injured and become necrotic finally. These necrotic kidney tissues can not be revived to work again, so in such a case, Chronic Kidney Failure can not be reversed to normal condition again. However, kidney function can be improved, as kidney tissues which are injured mildly can be repaired with some Chinese medicines.

Chronic Kidney Failure has a long development process and in different stage, kidney can be treated in different ways. Also, patients can receive different treatment effects. Usually, the early the treatment, the better the treatment effects. Besides, as Chronic Kidney Failure is reversible in early stage and not reversible in advanced stage, so a timely diagnosis and treatment is very important for Chronic Kidney Failure patients. So far Hypertension and Diabetes are the leading two causes of Chronic Kidney Failure, and the longer time the patients suffer from these diseases, the more likely they develop kidney problem. Therefore, preventive measure becomes more important and necessary for these who have lived with Hypertension and Diabetes for many years.
